"My work is rooted in the real world and makes extensive and recognisable reference to it, filtered through imagination and experience. I do not attempt a particular or constant view but allow my expression to follow where the work takes me. Whilst I enjoy exploring other print processes, the majority of my prints to date have been silkscreen. Over the last few years I have spent considerable time exploring aspects of the industrial heritage of West Yorkshire in large format works. These pieces are not featured on this website, but some may be found by 'googling' me. At present I am attempting to work in a more dynamic and interactive way, creating series of images with screen monoprinting, sometimes over previous works. When the print is totally created from a fresh start,I may still vary the elements within it as with each pull I respond imaginatively to the stimulus of what I see on the paper.I have exhibited in all of the INKERS exhibitions in addition to the solo shows listed below.
